ALL THE ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS
There are two major improvements.
- The Vinoclean formulas are still just as effective and are now even more natural: the new cleansers now contain between 97% and 100% origin ingredients.
- The Vinoclean packaging is more sustainable: each bottle is made from 100% recycled and recyclable plastic. The metallic thread has been removed from all products with a pump.
We have reformulated the Vinoclean line and the new formulas now contain a minimum of 97% natural origin ingredients. As always at Caudalie, controversial ingredients (like PEG, parabens, phenoxyethanol, silicones, mineral oils, sodium laureth sulfate, microplastics or ingredients from animals) are banned from the compositions.
The products’ sensorial aspect has been even further improved (Cleansing Almond Milk, Moisturizing Toner): each of the textures has been worked to remain as sensorial as it is effective, all while being more natural.
The synthetic fragrances of the Moisturizing Toner and Cleansing Almond Milk have been replaced by the natural scent power of organic rose water for the first and by a natural sweet almond fragrance for the second. The Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil contains a 100% natural sweet almond fragrance.
The Fleur de Vigne Instant Foaming Cleanser, and the Micellar Cleansing Water have kept the same fragrances.
Yes, each bottle is made with 100% recycled plastic and our bottles are now all recyclable*. The metal thread has been removed from all pumps and the pump of the Moisturizing Toner has been replaced by a 100% recyclable cap. This changes have allowed:
- 50.8 tonnes of recycled virgin plastic to be used instead of using plastic from petrochemicals**
- our carbon footprint to be reduced by 45%**
*Excluding multi-material pump dispensers and caps, which can only be recycled through Caudalie Boutiques thanks to the Terracycle partnership
**All figures estimated compared to the 2019 sales volumes for the following products: Micellar Water / Cleansing Almond Milk / Moisturizing Toner 100ml, 200ml, 400ml / Foaming Cleanser 50ml and 150ml / Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil 150ml
No, the volume is the same.
- For dry skin we recommend the
Cleansing Almond Milk
for its gentle formula and Cornflower extract, which is soothing the eyes.
- For sensitive skin feeling uncomfortable and tight. Nourishing ingredients like those found in the below products: the Cleansing Almond Milk or the Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil. - For normal skin we recommend: the Micellar Cleansing Water. - For combination to oily skin we recommend: the Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil thanks to its plant oils or the Foaming Cleanser to gently purify.
As a whole, our line of face cleansers suits all skin types, including the most sensitive, thanks to its gentle formulas.
Skin with imperfections is thick and uneven. If it needs to be cleansed deep down, and a super-gentle step for every day cleansing. As it happens, the more you "strip" oily skin, the more sensitive it gets, creating sebum to defend itself, and imperfections increase. To gently remove make-up and cleanse oily skin, choose a two-step routine. First, remove make-up with
the Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil.
Next, sweep hydrophilic molecules (perspiration, dust, etc.) away from your skin using the
Fleur de Vigne Instant Foaming Cleanser.
Are you looking for a routine aimed at acne-prone skin? For visibly clearer skin, we recommend Vinopure, our clear skin line for the face that tightens pores, reduces the appearance of blemishes and visibly reduces oil.
A make-up remover dissolves lipophilic molecules like make-up, sunscreen and impurities but it only acts on the surface. Cleanser helps remove hydrophilic molecules like dust, pollution residues and excess sebum... So first you should remove your make-up, then cleanse your skin for thoroughly clean skin and a glowing complexion.
All our products have been tested under ophthalmological control and do not irritate the eyes. However to remove make-up thoroughly, use our Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil that’s 100% natural origin and allows all makeup to be dissolved, including waterproof.
The Micellar Cleansing Water dissolves makeup and helps remove impurities. Whereas the Moisturizing Toner tightens the pores and visibly tones the skin. The Moisturizing Toner is a skincare product that prepares the skin to receive the next skincare products such as serum.
You should wash your face twice a day.
In the morning: cleansing and rinsing with water allows you to remove impurities that have built up at night while your skin is regenerating itself. Use the Instant Foaming Cleanser or mix the Foaming Cleanser with the Cleansing Almond Milk to gently wake your skin up.
In the evening, do a full routine with a double cleanse: remove your make-up and eliminate lipophilic molecules thanks to the Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil or the Cleansing Almond Milk, then sweep hydrophilic molecules (perspiration, dust, etc.) away from your skin using the Foaming Cleanser.
Yes, all the formulas are highly natural (97% to 100% natural origin ingredients) and we have removed the synthetic fragrances in the Moisturizing Toner and the Cleansing Almond Milk as well as giving preference to natural surfactants. As always at Caudalie, controversial ingredients are banned (we do not have any PEG, parabens, phenoxyethanol, nor silicones, nor mineral oils and sodium laureth sulfate). The Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil is 100% natural.
The Vinoclean formulas are not certified organic but many ingredients in the formulas are (organic grape water, organic chamomile, organic rose water, organic castor oil, organic almond oil...)
The Vinoclean formulas all contain 97% to 100% natural origin ingredients. The remaining 2 or 3% are edible organic-certified preservatives, that are essential for guaranteeing the stability of formulas that contain water to protect them better from microbial contamination.
Yes, all the formulas are Vegan.
Yes, our packs are all eco-designed. All bottles contain 100% recycled and recyclable plastic*.
*Excluding multi-material pump dispensers and caps, which can only be recycled through Caudalie Boutique SPAs thanks to the Terracycle partnership
Yes, all our products can be recycled where facilities exist.*
*Multi-material pump dispensers and caps can only be recycled through Caudalie Boutique SPAs thanks to the Terracycle partnership
The pumps can't be recycled because they are considered to be "multi-material": their mechanism contains a small amount of metal.
No, using recycled plastic does not reduce the product quality in any way.
All Vinoclean packs are made using PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) plastic, a 100% recycled plastic coming from consumer goods from the food industry.
The cap is 100% recyclable and enables us to reduce our annual plastic waste by around 1.83 tons* by replacing the pump with a cap (make sure to leave the cap screwed on the bottle when sorting waste. If it is separate from the bottle, it cannot be recycled as it is too small). It’s also helps to tell the Moisturizing Toner and Micellar Water apart in your make-up removing routine.
(2) The carbon footprint economies for the bottles and switching to using a cap instead of a pump for the toner are estimates generated using the LCA BEE software program (Citéo). The savings related to eliminating aluminium in the pumps were estimated by Aptar using its GaBi Professional software, CML Life Cycle Impact Assessment Method (emission factors updated in May 2020).
